Over the summer, the luxurious country home played host to the brand's promotional campaign for its high-performance SUV, featuring dazzling stunts and cinematic flair.
The advert starred renowned Hollywood actor Theo James, best known for his breakout role as Tobias Eaton in The Divergent Series. In the film, James is seen maneuvering the striking Velocity Blue Range Rover Sport through Harewood's picturesque landscapes. One of the standout moments includes the SUV dramatically climbing the Victorian Terrace steps, a sequence that required precision and showcased the vehicle's capabilities.
Harewood House shared exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the two-day shoot on its official social media platforms. The posts highlight the incredible transformation of the estate into a high-speed filming location, offering fans a glimpse of the action.
“This summer, Harewood starred in the latest @rangerover Sport advert with @netflixuk @thegentlemen actor, Theo James," the house shared online. "For two days, Harewood House and Grounds turned into a high-speed film set, with stunts that included the brand-new Range Rover Sport climbing the iconic Victorian Terrace steps!”
Harewood House, managed by the Harewood House Trust, is an independent educational charity that welcomes over 250,000 visitors annually. The estate hosts an array of popular events, including the Volkswagen Festival, DogFest, and the Inflatable 5k. With its involvement in the Range Rover campaign, Harewood has added another feather to its cap as a versatile venue steeped in history and modern entertainment.
