Corleo is structurally quite different from the robot dogs we’re used to. It runs on hydrogen fuel and can easily carry a person on its back. Looking like something out of a science fiction movie, the robot dog is designed to perform well even in tough conditions. As seen in the image above, Kawasaki's new robot dog doesn’t have handlebars or any conventional control mechanism. Riders will move it similarly to how one rides a horse. The robot detects the rider’s center of gravity and moves accordingly. Its front and rear legs operate independently, and it features a hoof system that prevents slipping in various environments.
Corleo's hydrogen-powered engine produces 20 horsepower. The robot dog’s fuel tank offers a range of approximately 240 kilometers. Although it doesn’t yet have a release date or price, it is expected to be popular among rescue teams and outdoor adventurers. That’s all for now about Kawasaki’s intriguing new robot dog. Time will tell whether such creations will become part of our everyday lives.
